NASA: May 2025 was the 2nd warmest May on record, globally: 1.07°C above the 1951-1980 average. Only May 2024 was warmer.

I'm quite sure people here in the Netherlands don't see this as an unusually hot summer, but through yesterday it was already #4 out of 125 summers on record, and there's another warm period coming up.

Oh great, the 3 warmest months of July on record globally are now 2023, 2024, and 2025.
July 2025 was 1.03°C above the 1951-1980 average, that's around 1.22°C above the preindustrial average.
The map shows an anomaly of 4 to 8°C for West-Antarctica!

Based on daily values, the May average of atmospheric CO₂ at Mauna Loa was ~430.5 ppm; that's 3.6 ppm higher than last year, a big jump again!
