The loss of the #SSMIS satellite dataset as warned by @… will presumably also affect the #Greenland today melt maps over on NSIDC - I think we have AMSR2 for those somewhere too, but not exactly sure where..

Next week our ECR group are starting a #MachineLearning sprint to speed up the development of our new #IceSheet surface mass budget emulation models.
I'm looking for hints, ideas tips and inspiration to help smooth and accelerate the process.
If you're used to working in #Sprint mode, what in your opinion makes it work or otherwise hinders it?
What can I as supervisor do to make it run better?
And how should we celebrate it's conclusion?

Interesting post from @… on the clear improvement in #SeaIce extent on @… from the AMSR-2 product that is replacing the old SSMIS satellite.
Coincidentally, a polynya is reopening in NE #Greenland as my colleague Abraham Torres prepares to present on our attempts to model (with @… #climate #CCI data) a previous polynya in that region at the #BACO25 meeting.
Will be interesting to watch
