Please apply pressure to electeds, urging them to aggressively pursue state charges against ICE officers, in defiance of the FBI if necessary.
Many of them already want this. State AG is already taking steps to do this. Apply the pressure anyway; the pressure helps.

Anybody have connections to Hennepin County Attorney's office? They need to be interrupting or exposing what could be a jail-to-ICE pipeline.
Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty
— who oversees state prosecutions in Minneapolis and surrounding areas
— had a lot to say on Wednesday about the Trump administration’s Operation Metro Surge
and the new group she is forming with local prosecutors to push back
— but also about recent comments from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz
and what more she is hoping to see from the police in Hennepin County in this moment.

The first paragraphs of this article are big news (I think?? IANAL): the FBI tried to shut MN out of the investigation of ICE’s murder of Renee Good, which almost certainly is the start of a cover-up. Minnesota initially threw up its hands and said “well that sucks.”
Today we learn that Minnesota and Hennepin County are still gathering evidence themselves, apparently independently of the FBI. My hope is that this is in pursuit of state charges, in defiance of the Trump-controlled FBI.

Another reminder about 2020: the Hennepin County atty initially brought softball charges that would have resulted in moderate sentences (because they were weak) and probably wouldn’t have held up in court anyway (because they were mismatched to the crime).
Attorney General Keith Ellison snatched the investigation away from the county and brought real charges that really stuck — and he had the backing to do that because of the sheer volume of protest.
