An interesting example of how a non-grid operator can achieve a (temporary) grid connection using a battery. Once the grid operator has made the permanent connections, the battery can be used elsewhere.
A temporary variant on contestable build that can be scaled further?

I am unsurprised at the breakdown so far:

Granted, the plethora of Chromia are splitting the vote, but even added together it’s not close.
Also, this is not scientific and may not reference reality. …

In elementary school, one of my classmates was hit by a car on his bicycle. He must have been about 9. His head went through the windshield.
He was fine.
The windshield was not fine. His helmet was not fine. The teacher had him bring in his mangled helmet to show the whole class. Nobody had to tell us he’d be dead if it weren’t for the helmet. It was obvious.
I still remember this vividly 40 years later.
I wear a helmet.

Still getting replies from the radical helmet deniers (and blocking them), amazing stuff.
It's basically like climate change deniers—including the same type of websites that are full of biased "science" tailored to support their argument that "helmets are actually worse".
Please get a life and leave me alone.

"But I personally never had a traumatic head injury and I'm not wearing a helmet. Therefore the logical conclusion is that helmets do not prevent traumatic head injury."
I have a traumatic logic injury now.

"‘Should we not address a prayer to Comrade #Mars [...] Appoint 10 representatives to accompany me; that will suffice to attack the nearest village and enable me to bring back a meal fit for Salian priests.’
So he set out; the rest laid a huge fire and set up an altar to Mars on the green turf."
Apuleius, The G…

The statue stands to a height of 1.78 m, though it is missing the feet from below the ankle and any plinth it may have originally stood on. Mars is depicted as a youthful soldier, wearing a Greek helmet and bearing a large oval shield held in his left arm. He is wearing a cuirass with elaborate lappets beneath and at the sleeves over a tunic. He has a sword strapped on his left side. His right arm is extended but the hand is missing. It probably held a spear originally.

What’s it with Dutch people trying to explain to me that they never hit their skulls on the pavement while riding a bicycle because they’re somehow superior at riding them and therefore don’t need a helmet.
Occam’s razor:
Option 1. An entire nation is magically superior in bicycle riding than anyone else on Earth and never has potholes, train track or slippery roads.
Option 2. The government tried to get more people to bike (a good thing) and for decades downplayed the inherent risks (not a good thing), and now people actually believe that “good infrastructure is just as good as helmets”.
