Regardless of what you think of today's results, I think we can all thank the #hockey gods that neither of the close games ended in penalties. Just about any other way of deciding a winner - number of total letters in the names of everyone on the squad, a debate on Heidegger's hermeneutics, a figure-skate-off, whatever - would be better.

I would like to listen to the clean broadcast play-by-play announcer audio with noise-cancelling headphones at a hockey game, rather than the often-incomprehensible booming echo over the arena's PA system mixed with screaming people.
That sounds a lot like an assistive technology.
Possibly once existing as a tiny AM radio station, BYOR.

As a former netminder, I love these rare backup #Goalie stories, and even rarer cases when they actually get called into action. I could dream of sitting in the stands of Maple Leaf Gardens in the mid 80s. Two freak injuries to the home team goalies prompts an announcement, "Is there a goalie in the house?" I slowly stand up and yell, "I'll do it."
I then proceed to shut out the Oilers for the rest of the game, including 3 breakaways by Gretzky. He shakes his head slowly after every unsuccessful attempt.
