Great session today at #ICANN87 about “How It Works: The IETF” explaining how the #IETF develops open #Internet standards and how people can participate. Engaged audience with many questions! Glad to be part of the panel presenting the info and answering the questions.

Starting off Monday in the Opening Ceremony of #ICANN87 in Bali. Looking forward to four more days of conversations, actions, and discussions within the community - all in the service of building a stronger and better Internet.

Travel all the way to Bali, Indonesia, to a convention center located right on beautiful beaches. Spend the next six days inside arctic-cooled windowless conference rooms. This is the way! 🤣

Last flight of 3… 6.5 hours should feel short after 14.5… looking forward to finally being on the ground in Indonesia for #ICANN87 ….

12.5 hours down in the long-haul flight.. only 2 hours until we land in Brisbane. Then it’s a 2.5 hour layover and then.. a 6.5 hour flight to Bali! 🤯

Time to 🛫 from Montreal -> Vancouver. From there it is a 15 hour flight to Brisbane, then another 6-ish hour flight to Bali, Indonesia.
It turns out it takes a long time to fly to the other side of the world! 😃

💉💉 Began my day off walking into Costco to get a COVID vaccine and a flu shot. Seemed like a good idea because later this week I’ll be spending 25 hours in airborne metal tubes and airports getting to Indonesia… and then I’ll be with a few thousand people in a conference center for #ICANN87 ! 👍
