The reason Russia is 'losing' right now is because it is down on both "blood" -- multiple recent reports are that it is not replacing soldiers as fast as it is losing them -- and "treasure” -- Russia relies on oil revenues to fund its war and Ukraine has been destroying Russian infrastructure while the price of oil simultaneously remained relatively low since 2022.
This new war is raising the price of oil: Brent Crude was $69 on February 26, it's now $83.

This is clearly a huge operation and is already a major regional conflict.

The most egregious part of the affair to me is that no one from BAFTA or the BBC even bothered to apologize to Michael B Jordan and Delroy Lindo when they got off the stage, let alone tell *them* what was going to be done about it. There was no effort to bring the three people involved together for resolution at the time of the incident, nothing.
But the other part of this that just grates on me with every article is the BBC trying to defend itself by saying “that another racial slur had been edited out of the broadcast.”
