As an American who loves language and has spent a bit of time in the U.K., I enjoy the quirks that distinguish the versions of English.
One that I don't tend to see much discussion of is the way Americans will say "would you like ice cream?" or "I'm getting coffee" while Brits say "would you like an ice cream?" or "I'm getting a coffee."
