Not only is this a huge violation of our privacy rights (as the article suggests), it's also a huge waste of money.
We know where the majority of crimes in #SaltLake and #Utah are happening, and they are not occurring on the streets.
#LDS wards, Facebook sites, and neighborhoods, neighbors are defrauding neighbors. License plate readers and drones won't help that. Depending on where they're being purchased from, this might just be another scam: buying overpriced equipment from a friend with government money. It happens all the time in Utah's government, and auditors are unlikely to catch it without a tip off.
Heck, look at this article about former Representative Trevor Lee. It lists several people who quit public office after arrest. There are many more who didn't.

I wonder why young women are leaving the #LDS church.
Could it be because the law in #Idaho is so restrictive that women are being helicoptered out of state while undergoing emergency pregnancy complications, and when voters want to change the law, the #LDS church wants to stop them?

Ok, Ken Jennings. I rejected you after you crossed picket lines on a strike, but I'm with you on this. I guess when it comes to #trans rights and the human rights of #immigrants. you are an ethical scab with personal integrity.
As with many issues, some people need to know the victims personally to empathize with them. Weird a know-it-all didn't know any pro-union teachers in #Utah where they are some of the few remaining strong unions in this #RightToWork state, but whatever.
Good on you for standing up for the humanity of trans people and immigrants.

RE: #Mormon #LDS #TCOJCOLDS, I agree. In #Utah, it's more than a church. It's a culture. It's even got a lot of power in our politics. Now, #ExMo #ExMormon, how can I self-identify if I can't name that cultural norm?
In Utah, when you say "the church", everyone knows which one you're talking about and it ain't Catholic. In fact, there were "I am a Mormon" ad campaigns around the time of the #2002Olympics. Then the last president of the church tried to take back the "Mormon" name and change our culture to say it was offensive and even a slur, but too little too late, my guy. Very few but him felt that way. Many tried to change their language to obey the religious leader, but "Mormon" is still in common use.
