Another Derby that the none-existent God puts their finger on the scale.

An adjustment today to Crystal Palace’s setup and press has been to send the long ball into the channel for a flick-on header to a runner in space. Gakpo has been particularly excellent at finding his connecting runner.
It has opened up the game in a way Palace weren’t expecting.

Losing the goalkeeper is somewhat worse than losing a goal.

Mac Allister’s shot was going well wide and Isak did really well to control it. Still fizzing about, it was a great first and second touch.
The funny thing is that he hasn’t been involved at all, with Crystal Palace choking possession through the midfield. But sometimes being out of rhythm is fortunate when the play goes chaotic.

For me, it's Mac Allister, who quietly dominated the central midfield. He was robbed of a deserved goal, created 4 chances, had 3/4 successful long passes, and 4 recoveries. It's a welcome contribution in what has been a difficult season.
