Qu’est-ce qu’un pixel de suivi dans un courriel ? Un pixel de suivi, parfois appelé « pixel espion », est un petit fichier invisible, intégré dans un courriel (en général une image de 1 pixel par 1 pixel). À l’ouverture du message, celui-ci envoie automatiquement des informations à l’expéditeur.

It’s actually a bad illustration of what I’m trying to show with it, which is how my fingers are curled around the sprayer thingy, and in order for it to work I have to pull my fingers toward my palm. Interestingly, the 1st and 2nd fingers do not hurt, but I can get leverage to pull the thingy without pressing the 4th and 5th fingers against the bottle.

I'm afraid my students might not be pleased with one of tomorrow's assigned readings. Of course, I didn't read it ahead of time and threw it on the syllabus mainly because of the topic and the fit with this week's lecture. I should've known that the author, who writes mildly interesting but bone dry stuff now, wouldn't have written more interesting or less dry material in the past.

Solarization: Most digital photographers only know the effect as Photoshop filter, but here it's happening chemically in the darkroom... Created by extreme overexposure (here ~3x longer of my usual exposure time), the darkest parts of the image have become inverted, which in Kallitype then (temporarily) turns into these amazing orange tones, whilst the mids & highlights remain normal neutral grays, depending on developer used... Been pondering a new app for a week now (since listening to a certain lecture) and just this morning spontaneously came up with "Every day a concert" as a phrase for the app.
