I've been learning Persian/Farsi for the last couple of months. (I know, what timing!)
I'm still stuck in alphabet recognition drills, but I'm happy to take my time. I'm also amused by the number of French words I recognise.
What I didn't realise is I'll one day be able to understand Dari and also read things from Afghanistan!
