I have to say, MS #Word is actually pretty useful, in this case doing document comparison to show what has changed between an original submission and a revision. Trying to keep track of this as you revise is pretty impossible so it's really nice to be able to do it in 2 min at the end!
(Compare docs, tweak the options of tracked changes so it shows additions only in red, export as PDF)

It's baffling how MS can't get the web-based version of Word, Excel etc. to render their own formats properly. Like Word files look so broken a lot of the time.

I was writing (a brilliant) post about something, but now I just want to say: Writing in a box in a browser-window makes the 1980's advice relevant again: *Save your draft often* ! The danger used to be MS Word crashing, now it's just switching away from the window that will destroy your nuggets of wisdom, for them never to be seen by anyone 😪

What the actual font? Bolding outrageously changes glyphs? 😮
(Kannada text "mo" rendered in three fonts: without and with bolding. Bolding the text in Nirmala Text font in MS Word changes the glyph to something non-existent in Kannada.)
