With all my KDE, dwm, MangoWC, NixOS, Gentoo, FreeBSD, Wayland, immutably complicated stuff it is very refreshing to just download an MX Linux iso, install it in under 10 minutes and have evrything you might want up and running in no time.
Well curated, well styled, great tools, you name it. Documentation excellent.
What a great distro! A gem.

I am making a bootable USB stick with the beta of #mxlinux. I want to see if it detects my wired scanner, wireless scanner, and label printer.

Backing up the SSD to my external hard drive. The first try failed as, for some reason, #mxlinux wouldn't mount the drive. Did a reboot with the drive in, and it works. After it is done, I will reboot back to Windows and verify that the backup is readable! So far, so good.

I upgraded an old Acer laptop to the latest #mxlinux. It didn't take much work and went smoothly. I still have to put a guest user on and then tweak waht runs, but the basics are there.

Happy, happy, happy. Latest #mxlinux image booted. Old broken laptop SSD is viewable, so I can back up the latest changes. For some reason WIN10 won't show me the drive.
