My Mac is running hot, apparently because “WindowServer” is locked on 47% of one CPU permanently. Known bug?
[Update: Turned out to be a random open-source app.]

I’m done with my #Mac storage cleanup.
I deleted:
- cache for two Adobe apps that have been uninstalled months ago (After Effects and InDesign)
- cache and apps for two browsers I haven’t used in months (Chrome and Arc)
- cache for a Mail account that I haven’t opened in years
As a result, I cleared 227Gb of local storage and deleted 370,000 files.
Kind of crazy how much bloat accumulated from so few apps.

I had 129.07 GB of CACHE for After Effects, an app I HAVE NOT OPENED since 2023 that I have had UNINSTALLED for months.
(This is on Mac).
Absurd.

It's a collection of scripts I've accumulated over the years that lets you control some of your Mac's behavior from the CLI.
You don't need a ZSH framework to use it - the framework code just adds the repo's bin directory to your PATH automatically

FaceID unter macOS / an einem Mac klingt zwar erstmal nach einem simplen Wunsch, aber ich frage mich, wie man weiterhin eine physische Bestätigung durchführen möchte.
Gerade im Bezug auf ApplePay muss ja noch ein* expliziter Button gedrückt werden…

Just tried Edgelight on my Mac... it really does make a difference. I have a small light on a Sanui tripod that I used to use for calls, but I won't need it for that any more 😎
