We walked 2km in the forest, uphill with a ladder and some tools in order to install this Seeed Solar Node on a dead tree.
I have a good signal from home - 12km throu forest and the coverage seems to be good too.
I'll let it be here over the winter month :)

Playing around a little with #Meshtastic this week with a couple of nodes, plus the portable card. 3D printed some cases too.
Cool stuff; flashing is easy, but it needs tuning for location, and I wonder how reliable it will ultimately be (it is usable). I'll probably look at getting #mqtt

Yeah, I have the issue of being the only user in my small town of 10,000. I can see nodes to the South of me, but they can’t hear me. Still hoping . . . #meshtastic

Playing around with #Meshcore
Easy to flash on my existing Meshtastic devices. Works very similar to #meshtastic
Still I'm the only one sending here on the countryside :(

Mein Lilygo T-Echo ist da. #Meshtastic und #MeshCore flashen geht beides super easy. Momentan läuft MeshCore und ich bin erstaunt. Gerät steht in der Wohnung und ich sehe trotzdem 25 Nodes

My Seeed Solar Node has been in the darkness of my basement now for two weeks - still 78% charge.
I think that one will go up on my roof.
And for my forest nodes, I should probably build some birdhouses :)

Flashed my radio nodes to #Meshcore again to play around a bit. Since in the countryside there don't seem to be either #Meshtastic nor Meshcore nodes ... I'm talking all to myself.

I was running around with a #MeshCore node in Berlin for about a week now. While I've apparently found 2 room servers and one other node... there was not a single message in the public channel nor any reply to my messages. I think this isn't a thing in Berlin ... might have to stick with #Meshtastic
