I find it fascinating how some bands have long, creatively successful careers, but only have *one* utterly perfect album where everything clicks into place. It must be incredibly difficult to do. (Some bands have several, but those are outliers, I think)

Legendary composer Èliane Radigue died this past week at the age of 94. She was a pioneer of electronic music and many of her compositions expressed her Buddhist practice in their spacious and slow moving sonic fields.
A few years ago I was asked by my friend Audra Wolowiec to respond to Radigue’s beautiful ambient work, L’Îsle Re-Sonante, for Sound American.

Bin ja schon einige Zeit bei Tidal und mir gefällst da echt gut, nun hab ich auch einen Client für Linux gefunden. Der nennt sich High Tide und wird als Flatpak angeboten. Ok, die Oberfläche wird nicht jeden gefallen, aber auf der Linken Seite gibts den Text zu der jeweilgen Künstler ;D
Ich finds super, das ich endlich unter Linux Eric Clapton und Co, über Tidal hören kann ;D

Thinking about my relationship with #music. In school, we learnt about 20th century classical composers. I remember my classmates saying they didn't like the dissonance/weirdness. I decided I wasn't going to be like that, I'd seek out dissonance/weirdness.
But that means I often don't use music for comfort
