Went to Small World Festival. Mostly dry and occasionally sunny.
Small World has such a nice friendly hippy vibe, lots of deadlocks and goths and pirates and beautiful face paints.
Bands all energetic and talented and mostly have been playing here together for 20 years in one form or another. All of 'em doing it for the love of it. Pony doing a great job of organizing the team to put it together.
One dude seemed pretty new, making up synth songs with his repeats and beeps and rapping from audience suggestions. Failed to photograph him well though. There's another 4 bands mentioned in the photo descriptions here.
Medically necessitated more or less total sobriety at the moment, so different whole thing. Those I knew well there mostly working, so lots of time alone dancing soberly and reading. Wish I was better at talking to strangers.
Still good times.

On May 27, 1957, at 6:00 a.m., the CHUM radio station (1050 AM) increased power from 1,000 watts to 2,500 watts and switched from a daytime station to 24 hours. At that same moment, radios all over Toronto started playing Elvis Presley singing “All Shook Up” as the "New CHUM" became Canada’s first Top 50 music format. The station launched hundreds of careers and introduced new music to young and old alike.

Has to be one of the absolute best 1hr and 33mins ever produced on a single album. Incredible variety, and every single song a damn near masterpiece.
Not normally on Apple Music but because I had it in my old CD collection way back in the day, (bought on Boxing Day 1994 I think?) it lives on.
AND ITS JUST THE 3RD DISC OF 4.
So yes, also the best CD set ever created. 😂

Oh hey, speaking of awesome bands from Cleveland. One of my favorite 80s indie bands is from there. Got into them from a comp and quickly became a fan, getting whatever albums I could find.
I just love the singer's voice and style.
Here they are back in the day, doing a rocked out cover of “Sylvia Plath”, a song originally done by another local Cleveland artist named Peter Laughner.
