Solidarity to union members and students facing cuts at North Island College. VIU and NIC have a friendly rivalry, but more importantly, we each serve as access-focused post-secondary institutions for portions of Vancouver Island north of Victoria.
The list of program suspensions is long. And unfortunately includes some skills in my fieldโฆ but they are generally... broad cuts. I've included the list below.
The #BCNDP Government seems perfectly ok with post-secondary institutions in BC going through the worst cuts in at least 25 years (my career) and I would dare say - ever.
