Sycamores, Early Autumn (2023)
Early autumn mood & colors already setting in. Looking forward to my favorite season of the year...
#LandscapePhotography #NaturePhotography #Trees

A group of sycamore maple trees in front of a large rock face leading up vertically for at least a thousand meters. The trees are already partially yellow/brown, as are the grasses in the foreground. On the left, the lower parts of the mountain are covered in dense wood until meeting the scree field on the right. Semi overcast sky.

Non-virtual Reality (2026)
(The office this week... Meticulously planned weeks/months ago, then been waiting for the right time/weather/season, now capturing a year's worth of impressions in just a few days...)
#LandscapePhotography #NaturePhotography

A path leading into the distance through a stunningly colorful alpine landscape with glaciated peaks in the background. In foreground, a dense carpet of small bushes and grasses in intensely saturated autumn colors (reads/oranges/yellows). Rocks and small groups of larches and Swiss pines dotted here and there. A mountain creek meandering through the meadows in the large cirque in the back. Hazy pale blue sky with some wispy clouds forming.

Rode out to Quarry Rock Metropark in Solon today. This is a gorgeous valley and waterfall tucked right into the Cleveland metro area, minutes from Chagrin Falls.

The Quiet Green (2026)
#SilentSunday #EveningWalk #NaturePhotography #Photography

Photo of some ferns in low evening light on the bank of a small creek. The water itself is crystal clear and in complete shade, therefore just creating a dark background. Soft tones, low contrast, milky blacks.

Tonight's evening walk & photo session at the local bird sanctuary... 🤩
#EveningWalk #LandscapePhotography #NaturePhotography

A lake with small islands and autumnal mixed forest beneath a peachy glowing vanilla sky, the clouds reflecting on the completely still water surface. A solitary swan. Patches of algae.

A lake and silhouettes of surrounding trees against the sunset sky with beautiful stretched out orange/pink clouds, also reflected on the completely still lake surface.

End Of The Heat (2026)
(Vanilla Sky on the last eve of (one of) the heat wave(s) this summer...)
#SilentSunday #LandscapePhotography #NaturePhotography

A still scene of an idyllic lake just before sunset. Everything is bathed in warm peachy light. A field and some small trees/bushes are catching the last sun in the foreground. Swamp and layers of forest on the other side of the lake, against the hazy sky in the background. Silhouettes of three wind turbines further back. Clear pale orange/vanilla sky.

Ein wirklich lustiger Moment: Die Schafe standen ordentlich in einer Schlange – die fotowilligen blieben brav stehen, während die anderen geduldig warteten. So entstanden viele Einzelporträts. Das exklusive Shooting wurde mit sichtbarem Interesse angenommen! Hier die ersten vier Einzelshootings...😆😍🥰

Fog Over Forggensee (2026)
(Stunning light & fog encounter on a recent early morning walk...)
#LandscapePhotography #NaturePhotography #Fog

A group of trees in some fields near the forest catching the first warm yellow morning light. The leaves of some trees are already turning orange. In mid-distance low hanging white clouds are floating as a thick dense layer above the lake (itself 99% invisible), their tops illuminated in soft peachy pink pastel light. The mountain peaks of the Ammergauer Alps visible above in the distance. Otherwise clear pale blue sky.

The lower slopes are covered in dry grasses in a mix of beautiful autumn colors. Talus fields and rocks of different colors higher up. Clear blue sky. #SilentSunday #LandscapePhotography #NaturePhotography

View down into a large, almost featureless alpine post-glacial valley without any vegetation other than grasses. The first sun of the day is illuminating some of the large slopes on the right hand side. The much steeper, almost vertical rocky cliffs on the left are still in the blueish shade, waterfalls running down every kilometer or so. The bottom of the valley is a deep and narrow canyon. The view is from around a 1000 meters above, covering an approx. 6km stretch of the valley. The canyon r…
