One of the reasons I am cranky about LLMs is that they take some of the joy out of casual, flamboyant bullshitting-as-a-spectator-sport
For example, the telling of "tall tales", the game commercially known as "Balderdash" (in my extended family we played it as "Fictionary" and used the OED), "slideshow karaoke", bluffing at Scrabble, and this:

Took a long time to find any word that fit so I went with it. The other 4 words were reasonable also but did not come to mind (well, one was a little questionable in it's spelling for an answer, NYT thought so too)

In the NYT interview published yesterday, Trump openly admitted that his thirst for Greenland is not about military necessity, national security or business opportunities but simply his psychological need to own it.
I think that Trump is looking to secure his legacy as the (in his own mind at least) greatest president ever and adding Greenland would not only make America greater, literally, but also make it a bit bigger than Canada. In other words, a pure vanity project.

The first seems underspiced/undercheesed but the second one looks interesting. I am suspicious of any Mac & Cheese recipe that does not require the creation of a proper bechamel-based cheese sauce. The 2 methods here (both basically creating the sauce as part of the bake) make me very nervous.
OTOH, I do like the concept of not fretting over a sauce. I am intrigued by the concept of saucing uncooked pasta before baking… @…

Two of the best macaroni and cheese recipes I’ve ever tried came from a 2006 NYT Food article called “the Winter Cook.” One is a classic mac and cheese casserole with crispy edges. The other is a more unusual creamy mac and cheese casserole that includes cottage cheese and a hint of nutmeg.
