As someone who doesn't carry physical cash, I've discovered the concept of Paying-it-Forward to be very useful.
I do this when I go to the community coffee shop, which I believe is a non profit. Even a couple of those is less than the cost of a coffee from a chain coffee retailer.

I discovered yesterday that the community coffee shop that I occasionally work from supports Pay-It-Forward. They even have a donation page on their site for it.

Back at the Coffee Shop. Quite busy in here today. Perhaps people were attracted in by the Christmas Tree and decorations in the windows 🎄
Didn’t fancy much food yet, so have done a pay-it-forward.
HUGE delivery of food supplies just arrived outside, which they are now unloading.
Nice to be among people instead of WFH on my own.
