Did you have good luck today? Hermes is here to provide it, given you are ready to give him a quick rub.

It's #PhallusThursday and I'm bringing out the big guns! Does size matter? To this lady, it evidently does.

Happy Chinese #PhallusThursday with this adorable 18th century silver... lion?
Via @oregonthedm.bsky.social€@bsky.brid.gy

Three photographs of a silver figurine that depicts a lion on its hind legs in an undeniably phallic shape. The feet are positioned like the testes, the front legs as small and tiny as that of a T. rex, and the head has the same shape as the head of a phallus.

This #FannyFriday we have a winged cock surrounded by three fannies with visible slits and a bit of stubble for a joint #PhallusThursday.
Did the little phallus choose the one on top or is he eager to kiss all three of them?

Attic red-figure painting on a lid depicting three vulvas and a winged phallus, dated 460–425 BCE. Today it can be admired in the Archaeological National Museum in Athens.

Some ancient Greek literature for #PhallusThursday — or #NoPhallusThursday?

Photograph of an ancient Greek marble sculpture of a male torso where the phallus has broken off. A quote by Aristophanes is set over the sculpture's stomach in English translation and the original Greek below it: "Everything else is complete — but we need a penis."

A late #PhallusThursday because I spent the day with a friend celebrating her birthday.
I am supplicating Hermes to grant her good luck, great fortune, and swift travels in the next year of her life, like this traveller is likely asking Hermes for a smooth journey. Hermes seems very excited about it 😉

Red-figure vase painting of a man, likely a traveller judging from his chlamys cloak and walking stick, honouring a herm of Hermes. A herm is a simple statue of Hermes and sometimes other gods with a head and an erect phallus at the appropriate height.

This phallus belongs to a woman: one of Dionysos' maenads shows him her interpretation of a horny satyr. Maenads usually have first-hand experience with that.

Red-figure vase painting. The god Dionysos is seated, holding his thyrsos staff. In front of him, a maenad is acting, wearing phallus trunks, a costume to depict satyrs in theatre.
