Finally saw The Running Man (2025) and am still thinking about the choice to set it in the 2020s imagined from the 1980s - of videotape and photocopied zines. Does it still work for people with weaker links to that time?
(I guess Cyberpunk 2077 is also an '80s idea of the future, and that has an impact.)
