Now back to #Greenland and the Snow group using multiple observational datasets in and around Disko Bay including the new SWOT EarthCare data from ESA to assess if RCMs can capture Snowfall and snow depth. This in collaboration with the #icelink Horizon Europe project

This Swedish west coast is something else, below the view from the window for the evening lecture at the #PolarClimateSpaceHackathon today.
After the lecture both students and mentors are back to work, we're a diligent group, but I'd expected nothing less based on hackathons and bootcamps past: the spectacular sunset is motivating but it's so much fun to be able to spend such focused time on actual science!

This morning I'm packing to drive to Sweden for a week's Hackathon for early career researchers. This will be the 6th bootcamp/Hackathon that I've run and first in our @… ( @… ) PISCO project.
So here is a throwback to back in the mists of time when I was a PhD student in Iceland...

Really looking forward to what I occasionally call the summer camp for scientists this year.

Next up my wonderful group who have been learning about #MachineLearning from scratch. And applying it to satellite data and climate models, also part of our #ESA_PISCO project looking at Antarctica and surface melt ponds on the ice shelves, part of our @… collaboration!
