The BABY 1L experiment, part of the LIBRA project at MIT, aims to benchmark tritium breeding and release in molten salt breeder systems under deuterium-tritium (DT) neutron irradiation. Noncommutative localizations and joint spectra of a contractive quantum plane
In the present paper we investigate the localizations in the sense of J. L. Taylor of the Arens-Michael-Fréchet algebras occurred within the formal geometry of a contractive q-plane. It turns out that all noncommutative Fréchet algebras obtained by the Fréchet sheaves of the formal geometry are indeed localizations. That topological homology property of the structure sheaf results in the key properties of Taylor and Putinar spectra of the Banach q-modules.

Submarine Cable Deep-Ocean Observation of Mega-Thrust Earthquake and Tsunami with 44,000 100-m Spaced Sensors
We detect the recent M8.8 mega-earthquake in Eastern Russia, on a 4400km long active telecom cable in the Pacific Ocean. The resolution achieved 100m represents the highest spatial resolution, the largest number of ocean-bottom sensors, and the first fiber-optic deep-ocean observation of a tsunami wave.

We return to Takagi's variational principle, generalized after forty years to two complex variables by Pfister. Both isolating some extremal rational functions associated to a bounded holomorphic function in the unit disk, respectively the bidisk. The rational inner functions arising from the Takagi-Pfister skew eigenvectors lead to a Pade type approximation scheme.
