Extreme heat is “pushing infrastructure beyond its design limits”, the EEA says.

Crimea has been a bridgehead for Russia since it seized the territory from Ukraine in 2014.
But the peninsula is now looking vulnerable.
Ukraine has stepped up its drone campaign, targeting strategic infrastructure including electrical substations, bridges, oil depots and airfields.
Drones are also severing the roads, railways and waterways that connect Crimea to Russia.
Isolating the peninsula completely would give Ukraine a strong hand in any future negotiations…
