Densely populated coastal regions in many parts of the world are particularly vulnerable to flooding. The sinking of land masses exacerbates the impacts of rising sea levels in these areas, according to a study by researchers from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Tulane University.

In Nieuwsuur terugblikken op Corona...
Vraag blijft hoe vaak we politici de regels over exponentiële groei moeten aanleren.
En daarmee ook dat de bestaande wetgeving op dat gebied wel degelijk passend en doelmatig was voor de pandemie.
Je kunt er als premier (Rutte) dan misschien geen zin in hebben, maar elke dag winst helemaal aan het begin levert de tijdwinst die je keihard nodig hebt als het mis gaat.

Temperature change relative to the 1961-2010 period as a function of time since 1850. This shows the average values over the entire wolrd. The scale (in degrees Celcius) goes from -0.9 to 0.9. There was not much change until the 1930s when it started to warm up (from around -0.6 degrees), reaching about 0 around 1985, and then pretty much consistently increasing until reaching +0.9 degrees in 2025.
This is the same representation as the previous image but for Glasgow (Scotland). it was a bit more variable between 1935 and 1990 but then shows a similar increase after that, reaching +1 degrees in 2025. the scale in this case ranges from -2 to +2 °C
