OTD in 1946, the Canadian Library Association (CLA) was founded in Hamilton, Ontario, in 1946 and incorporated on November 26, 1947. The CLA represented #Library workers and advocated for funding and improvements. Due to declining membership, it was replaced by the Canadian Federation of Library Associations.
