Ich war neulich in Bayern. Dort sind überall Kreuze. In Amtsstuben, in Schulen. Mich hat das sehr irritiert. Ich habe mich beim Verfassungsschutz erkundigt, weil ich in der Schule gelernt habe, dass das Kreuz ein Symbol ist, dass von Kreuzrittern benutzt wurde, die im Nahmen ihrer Religion schlimme Taten begangen haben. Der Mensch vom Verfassungsschutz hat mich aber beruhigt und meinte, dass das ein ganz normales religiöses Symbol sei.
Ganz im Ernst: Ich verstehe nicht, wie man aus religiösen (oder anderen) Gründen andere Menschen umbringen kann und ich verstehe auch nicht, wie man als Medienmensch gegen Menschen anderer #Religion hetzen kann.
Schlimme Welt das.
Irgendwie gab es doch mal die #Ringparabel von #Lessing. Das müssten doch wenigstens die Deutschen in der Schule gehabt haben.

#Momper zu ProReli: Die Kirche habe bereits dadurch verloren, dass sie „Halbwahrheiten und Unwahrheiten“ verbreitet habe und „rumtrickste“ (Walter Momper).
Ich kann das nur bestätigen. Ich war zu einem Weihnachtsgottesdienst, bei dem der Pfarrer vor einer vollbesetzten Kirche einfach die Unwahrheit über ProReli sagte. Ich konnte mich nur schwer beherrschen. Fast hätte ich Lügner! gerufen. Aber es war Weihnachten ...
Der Pfarrer kommt bestimmt in den Himmel, denn er hat dafür gelogen, dass der Höllen-Religionslehrer in einem Wahlpflichtfach unterrichten darf.
Nur damit es wirklich klar ist: Religionsunterricht gehört überhaupt nicht in die Schule. Und bekennender Religionsunterricht, der von Vertreter*innen der Religionen (christlich, jüdisch, muslimisch, ...) durchgeführt wird, schon gar nicht. Die ganze Kultur, die an den Religionen dranhängt aber sehr wohl. Das kann dann bei #Ethik, #Philosophie und #Kunst behandelt werden.
Meine Kinder waren in der #Kirche beim Konfirmandenunterricht. Wer das will, soll das machen. Und dafür #Kirchensteuer bezahlen.

For as long as I've been thinking about #WeirdPride, I've been aware that #magic is never far away.
People who experience the world in unusual ways are often seen as #weird, and there's a long (and often uneasy) history of people associating that with supernatural beings, and spellcasting.
I think everyone probably needs a bit of magic in their lives - some wonder, things to remind them of the awesomeness and mysteries of existence. Some people seem content with very little of it, while others can't help but overflow with that stuff.
I try not to begrudge people beliefs that help them make it through the day, but a lot of those beliefs scare me...
I tried to marshall these thoughts, and others, for the #WeirdPrideDay site.
