Bear lake

Photo at Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. The water is absolutely still, reflecting the opposite shore like a mirror. The water line extends across the image just above the center. Sunrise, from Trail Ridge Road.

Photo from Rocky Mountain National Park. Looking East from Trail Ridge Road at a sign explaining that the elevation is 2 miles, 3.2km. The sun is just breaking over the ridge in front of me. October 2015.

Looking East from the Ute Trail. November 2013.

Panoramic photo in Rocky Mountain National Park. Hiking along the Ute Trail, looking East thru the gap at Longs Peak at the left and the rest of the Front Range extending to the right. Sunrise is just a few minutes ago but in November that’s not so early. Clear blue sky above with pale haze over the plains to the East. So quiet, at around 10-11,000 ft, 3000-3500m, and no wind, fortunately. November 2013.
