Along Cub Lake Trail. October 2015

Photo. Rocky Mountain National Park, coming down the Cub Lake Trail. Aspen leaves are falling everywhere and covering the trail. It looks kind of gloomy but the sun is shining above the canopy. Elk were around us, hanging out in the forest during the day where it’s slightly cooler, and they come down the trails into the big open parks in late afternoon during the rut (mating) season to hang out all night. October 2015.
