It would be helpful if 19th through 23rd Street had bike lanes immediately approaching Mission St even if they don’t otherwise have bike lanes. I’m frequently stuck behind cars waiting to turn for the entire light cycle, and there’s no space to filter through to the front due to parked cars.

Both 22nd Street and 20th Avenue are essential bicycle routes in San Francisco. Both intersect with major streets. Both go through vibrant neighborhoods. But 22nd Street does not have equitable bicycle infrastructure — for example, green bike boxes at signalized intersections. 20th Avenue has them. 22nd Street does not. Green paint isn’t everything, but people on 22nd Street in the Mission should enjoy the same safety features as other parts of the city (or better!). Bike boxes at all signalized intersections would be a start, and they’d indicate to drivers which streets are meant to be bike routes. Let’s make it happen. P.S.: There’s one more difference between the two photos. 20th Avenue isn’t on the city’s list of high-injury streets. 22nd Street is. #visionzero #visionzerosf #bicycle"

Quick heads up: Kitten’s installer/downloads will be offline for a few minutes as I recreate kittens.small-web.org (the site that new Kittens are deployed to when they’re born) as it was originally on Ubuntu and sites deployed by Domain are now using AlmaLinux. Also, I am setting Kitten’s API version to 0 (it was initially set to 1) to signal that it is prerelease. When the version is back to 1 it will be because API version 1 is stable.
