yimbys keep calling it misinformation that #SB79 allows demolition of rent-controlled duplexes and telling others to read the bill. it's right here, plain as day!

(h) A development proposed pursuant to this section shall not be located on either of the following: (1) A site containing more than two units where the development would require the demolition of housing that is subject to any form of rent or price control through a public entity’s valid exercise of its police power that has been occupied by tenants within the past seven years.

SF has so many parking lots and other soft sites especially on the westside, we should be building housing there instead of demolishing rent-controlled homes. But #SB79 offers few protections & none for rent-controlled duplexes. Sign this petition to amend the bill to fix this!
