Our pool pump died, and a warranty claim with Intex turned into a scam.
“Intex” wanted a $399.99 refundable deposit sent through Remitly to a GCash ID in the Philippines. 🚩 🚩 🚩

We Almost Lost $400 Because Of A Hacked Website – Bob Mueller
A pool pump warranty claim turned into a scam involving a $399.99 deposit & a fake email. Fortunately, we caught it before losing money.

Just got a cold phone call from the "police" (automated) telling me there is irregularities with my ID #scam #ransom
Is this new ?

Whizz Air have this scam where they have a smaller under-seat-bag test than all the other airlines.
So when you head there with your standard under-seat bag that you use everywhere else, and that fits fine under the seat in reality,, they still make you pay another 70 euros for it to go in overhead just because it won't fit in their super-tiny extra-small testing bay.
The plane was half empty too, so it not like they really super needed to ration the overhead space.
If you're flying Wizz Air, maybe don't, and certainly make sure to note they have this small-bag scam going on.

PSA: Wood boxes with slits that are marketed as "butterfly houses" are purely decorative. Multiple studies have confirmed that butterflies never use them. But paper wasps (Polistes) do, which is not great for butterfly populations because these wasps hunt caterpillars. Plus they sting, so not great for humans walking by. #butterflies #scam #insects #nature #garden #lepidoptera #wasps
