I just finished reorganizing the cable drawer.
The timeline of events was something like:
- the DNS server for internal name resolution runs inside a Docker container only reachable via IPv4
- if an Android device gets both IPv4 and IPv6 DNS servers, it will only query the IPv6 one
- fuck Docker; I'll install the DNS server on a Raspberry Pi
- creating a Pi image with sshd enabled didn't work
- this household has surprisingly few HDMI cables
- oh, …

IP4 prefixes for.ir TLD name servers are being announced. TCP/UDP over IP4 queries are getting responses from most of those name servers.
There are inconsistencies between what is in the root and now in ir. The root zone has IP6 addresses for each .ir name server, but the .ir zone currently does not. c.nic.ir in the root has glue for a name server in NL that is still responding authoritatively on both A and AAAA addresses, but it is surely out of sync.
Oddly, the ir zone has an…

I’m old-school, and I want my server (and its associated security boundary) thoroughly quarantined from client code — so there’s a whole set of features there I can’t comment on at all.
It was a minor trick to find the config to have it just build a purely static front end.

Initial release done for the Sisyphus server, had to do it manually for the time being which is slightly annoying. I'll deal with the pipeline much later. Posted AMD64 and ARM64 binaries for Windows, Linux, And macOS. Got a lot done over the last few days, now time to relax...lol
