One concept that seems obvious to me, but seems to elude others, is you can't favor one individual or group without simultaneously disfavoring all the rest.
Whether that is fair, reasonable, or desirable is an entirely separate discussion.

I despise the man for too many reasons to count, and I'm reasonably confident he's guilty of many crimes and misdeeds.
That said, am I the only person who thinks it is strange that a fine must be paid/bonded in full before an appeal can be filed? This doesn't feel like justice to me.

No joke, for several decades, I eagerly anticipated the day when computers, molecular modeling, and AI would design candidate chemical compounds for diseases that were too rare to receive enough funding for traditional drug research.
Instead, LLMBros want to use AI to put people out of work — people who are already producing good solutions.

People aren't selfless enough to go get a measles shot or wear a mask in public when they are sick or not litter their cigarette butts everywhere. If they can't do those little things to help society, what would make you think they'd work without a pay incentive?

There's an idea floating around to enable tipping videogame developers. For self-published games, this is a fine idea. For major studios, tipping game devs would allow them to shift some of the burden of providing a fair wage to the players. If you think the tips would 100% be on top of whatever they are paid now, you are being fooled.
