I decided to make a real-name account for my it stuff on hachyderm.io. But as they currently have manual checks for sign ups (thanks spammers!), I'm tempted even more to selfhost... (but noone then knows the instance 😕).

Mein Fazit: Ohne einfache Migrationspfade bleibt das ein Nischenthema für Nerds und man kann nur Einzelteile raus lösen

Does anyone have experience self-hosting Jitsi Meet? I'm already running apache2, so I can't use nginx-full as per the default instructions.
Jitsi configured the main domain, but I wasn't sure if I need to also add its subdomains (e.g. if I have meet.example.tld, do I also need to setup apache configs for conference.meet.example.tld and so on?).

El selfhostismo es un hobby que requiere dedicarle un buen tiempo. Yo solo lo hago para fines personales y, a lo mšs, comparto algunos servicios con amigos y familiares. Imagino lo que es hacerlo como servicio público, de manera voluntaria y desinteresada.
Vaya mi abrazo y agradecimiento a todos quienes dedican parte de su tiempo y esfuerzo para proveer servicios "de nube" a la comunidad. Los TQM 🫶🏻
