I'm in the market for a reliable sewing machine—I want to replace my old Singer. I made a mistake at first, buying an old Bernina Virtuosa with mechanical/electronic issues (luckily returned).
A sewing machine repairman told me that early digital Berninas are risky, and he recommended a mechanical Bernina 930, 1030 or 1031.
A serviced vintage Bernina 930 is now on hold for me at a dealer.

I actually spoke to not one, but three sewing machine repairmen today! 😵‍💫 I didn't plan it that way... But it happened. When I spoke to the third, it turned out he had been sitting next to the second when I called him in the afternoon. A strange, small world, apparently.
Anyway, they were all in consensus, even the one not trying to sell me anything: this machine is the shit. And I was very lucky contacting them at the right moment to get first dibs on it. So... #NewSewingMachine

@… @… Finished the sewing station the other day, I replaced the bow with another thread catcher, with the idea I could use that for general pieces of trash.
We'll have to see how well I can work with it. Perhaps I'll turn it so it hangs off to the side, in case it gets in the way of sewing. I still need to erase the orange chalk lines, too.

Started a new project, the #FreeSewingCrux climbing pants by @…. Also my first project made of #toile (#muslin / #calico ), just to see what it's like to work with it. I have some nice pink denim with a bit of stretch to make the "real" one with, once this one's done.
I attached the pockets with my Bernina 930's triple stitch, which gives this really nice top stitching. I do hope I was supposed to sew the seam allowance with the pocket... The instructions were a bit unclear there 🫣
