View down into a large, almost featureless alpine post-glacial valley without any vegetation other than grasses. The first sun of the day is illuminating some of the large slopes on the right hand side. The much steeper, almost vertical rocky cliffs on the left are still in the blueish shade, waterfalls running down every kilometer or so. The bottom of the valley is a deep and narrow canyon. I couldn't decide what to do today and where to go. I got up too late for a longer hike due to the heat. In the end I just got on my bike and followed the road and pushed myself for some training effect.

Blick von der Hafenmole auf die Hafeneinfahrt des Lindauer Bodenseehafens. Rechts der einzige Leuchtturm Bayerns, links der Einfahrt thront eine Figur des bayerischen Löwens auf einem Sockel. Es ist morgens um ca. 9 Uhr an einem sonnigen Tag, die Berge im Hintergrund über Bregenz wie z.B. der Pfänder liegen im blauen Dunst. Das Wasser im Hafen reflektiert den blauen Himmel.

Favorite meadow.
Last night, just before sunset. Been visiting this place for the past five years around this weekend of the year. A true sight to behold every time and a place/bubble of tranquility to charge up...

Statue of William Chambers, was a renowned publisher, author, and Lord Provost of Edinburgh (1865–1869) who was largely responsible for the city’s major slum clearances and structural improvements in the 19th century. The statue is a dark silhouette in front of a building with a latticed iron crown, topped by a weather vane.

Broadtailed hummingbird. May 2026
