Nor even to do or not, nor even to see
Or what to turn my eyes away from -- It's, yes,
Where do we start to clean this ancient mess!?

When no one cares, and no one sees
That private prayer upon your knees,
God hears your words to move the world,
When by his will he speaks to build
The Kingdom with his powerful ease ─
In private prayer it's God who's skilled
To hear the man with whom he's pleased.
