Progress. Post, spans, and hidden plugs. The tricky things are how to select ideas that are easy to manufacture. There have been so many ideas up to this point that are just too complicated or expensive to get the stability we need. #Furniture #SolidWorks

It's really rough, but the cabinet structural members are starting to take shape. Interior cabinet space will allow a drawer unit with a 45x15 cm face. #3DPrinting #Solidworks #KnockdownFurniture

I'm super looking forward to finally getting on a CNC mill. Let's see if this funky idea actually can be made. #3DPrinting #CAD #Solidworks

Learning how to use #SolidWorks #3DExperience is a bit like get a cat to obey your commands. For some reason, it's using a delayed indexing system. You can save something, and then it only shows up in the Bookmark Editor like 1 minute later. Multiple times I thought I did something wrong…

Trying to understand the difference in #Solidworks #3DExperience between Export as STL vs. Print to 3D. ... Exporting will generate an STL of exactly what I see. Print to 3D only generates the parts w/out the assembly repetition. Sigh. It took me most of the afternoon to figure that out.

The latest version now has attachable side and back veneers. Not pictured are some of the #Solidworks prototyping to check the fit before #3Dprinting it.
