An excellent review of #StarTrek #StarFleetAcademy which fits my viewing experience except I've been watching Star Trek since it first came out on NBC. https://infosec.exchange/@j4yc33/115948886318982523

Also want to say how wonderful #StarTrek #StarFleetAcademy is to again be transported to a society that is doing its best to make things better. To be based on science, facts, community, communication, trust and empathy.
And its set in San Francisco, just wish I could teleport up there right now…
Region locking content should have been illegal in 2026, but here we are unable to legally watch the next Star Trek series

Coed locker rooms (and probably showers)? What is this - Starship Troopers? 😏

I'm about to watch E1 of Paramount's final frontier: Star Trek written explicitly for GenAlpha kids.
It's reviews have been... interesting.

I'm not sure what #starfleetacademy is trying to be. On the one hand it has a bunch of #trek lore Easter eggs for the older fans, on the other it seems to be giving out earnest horny Gen Alpha vibes.
#StarTrek #StarfleetAcademy is #WOKE #WOKE #WOKE and its GREAT GREAT GREAT
I don't care what other people say
Just binged on all 3 of the first episodes and loved them! I had my doubts, but they were all photon torpedoed into loving the show.
Yeah, it’s about kids. But as they said, “It's a school”.
The show brings the core ideals and philosophy of Star Trek and makes them into excellent teachable moments.
Looking forward to the cast gelling as it always takes time for a new Star Trek to get its footing. But it’s pretty solid already. Love what Holly Hunter is doing with the chancellor/captain. Gina Yashere is totally amazing and can feel her joy in the roll in every scene she's in. And Tig Notaro is totally fabulously funny in a so dry sort of way. Also being partners with Gina's character is just perfect in being so unperfect.
Might just be me not dealing well with change, but the USS Athena is too much. Outside it's just weird. Inside it is like a cruise ship of the future. A giant pile of things seemingly serving no function, except being shiny. If we are ever going to see a toilet in #StarTrek #StarfleetAcademy
