Spent the entire day trying to troubleshoot what I was doing wrong with a LFSR scrambler on an 8b/10b coded serial link. Tried all kinds of bit ordering tweaks, MSB to LSB swaps, etc to try and get the incoming data to make sense and got nowhere.
Five minutes ago I realized I had the polarity on my differential probe backwards. Applied a negation filter to the signal in ngscopeclient and it's making a ton more sense.
