I’m not sure what bothers me more—the wanton environmental damage or the nerds cheering this on.
If this thing would have some good purpose it would maybe be different—but “Mars colonies” are bullshit.

This is not some sort of purity test by the way (I’m a customer of some companies that I find repugnant, out of necessity; e.g. Amazon).
But spending your limited time on this Earth to help destroy nice things and make people miserable is an active choice.
“I need the money” is not a valid statement when your job entices using flamethrowers to burn down playgrounds.
