a limestone gravestone covered in yellow and white lichen, there is some moss reddish green that looks a bit like a scull in the center and sort of knotting lower down. whatever carving and / or epitaph was there is long gone. weathered away. vanished. centuries of wind, rain, frost....

also at the entrance to that cave we found the other day, that one i tooted, round the corner from the shells, there is a big four pot marine engine. this is a close up of the area where the crank shaft goes through the crank case. the ring shape of the bronze bush is visible. the rest is extremely rusty, smoothed by the sea, and covered in barnacles. there is also a mystery copper wire sticking out of the rust with ragged green insulation.

Glacial Abstract (2026)

Cropped view deep into a glacial valley, with parts of the actual glacier visible in the back and steep sunlit talus slopes, partially covered in dried yellow grasses towards the foreground. The mountain peaks on the right side (out of view) are casting jagged hard shadows onto the slopes, further aiding the abstract character of this composition.

a coastal sedimentary rock face that looks as though it has teeth. odd bits of green sea weed growing. green leaves on hanging tree branches at very top. great big pebbles and sand at bottom.

some horizontal layers of grey rock on a coastline cliff of varying widths maybe 15 cm max. some of them have slight folds. some of them are layers of only a few mil but they are up ended at a 45 degree angle.

(From where I was standing, there's a 400 meter drop in between, a (hidden) suspension bridge crossing the canyon and the path then continuing almost vertically through the crags of the exposed bedrock on the opposite side...)

Photo of a deep canyon created by thousands of years of glacial abrasion with hundreds of meters tall cliffs of exposed bedrock (with cellular-automata-like patterns) on the opposite side and steep talus slopes, overgrown with grasses, on this side of the valley. It's early autumn and the vegetation in the foreground is already in shades of golden brown/orange, creating a color and textural contrast to the gigantic bare rock opposite.
