Cyclopic only has a couple members, they hail from a mix of Kazakhstan, Russia, and Germany. This is a cool record - maybe Obituary vibes, and I feel like I also some Morbid Angel or other OSDM stuff. And how about that cover art. 🔥

@jake4480@c.im#ThursDeath this week is new EP 'The Witch King' from Cleveland's PROCESSION. This is some quality death doom, some of the best I've heard in a while. From a slow, crushing pace to galloping drums- these guys really know how to do it. Awesome debut.

This is 'Rotting Antefix' by Winnipeg's DEFENESTRATION, and the riffs on this thing will melt your face off. From the first the guitar snakes and screams from out of the churning, this one is really special. The pummeling of the drums, those crazy guttural growls- this fucker SMOKES.

This and the Voidhämmer EP from earlier this year are my two favorite metal EPs of 2026 so far. 'Demise Profanation' churns and sludges along in a gross, putrid way - no frills, just riffs and nasty, burbling, gurgling vocals. Just how I like it. And a Mortician…
