If you can manage to get your hands on one, the Lenovo ThinkPad C13 Yoga (a chromebook reflashed with MrChromeBox firmware) is the most perfect basic Linux laptop I've ever had. DO NOT get the 4GB RAM/eMMC model (problems); preferably get the 16GB RAM model if available; OLED screen is the max spec. The battery life is great. Like most people, I've been using a touchscreen smartphone for many years, but I miss phones with keyboards. I've traded the number of words I could type per minute on my BlackBerry for the number of typos I make in a sentence. Oh, and autocorrect! Damn autocorrect!

Are the screens in those touchscreen laptops that support pens (and even detect those before touching with a little dot or something, plus actually know if you’re using a pen for writing or your finger for gestures) more special than normal touchscreens? What should I look for, exactly?
