While waiting for the #train to London I thought I'd check with the ticket office about the eye watering cost. It turns out the delta for Paddington to Kensington Olympia is about £55 (for an off peak single). I'm pretty sure the underground gets there for under a tenner. I'm not convinced the #tfw

Damn, this would have made my life a lot easier in my first full job at the tail end of the last century; Cheadle (or this one, there are a few), is equidistant between 3 #train stations spread across two lines neither of which are reliable.

Has anybody an idea why you need to reconnect all clients for a #train #wifi when passing a border?
I've seen that with AT-DE, DE-BE and BE-FR. 🤔

The return #train journey not starting great with my first hop cancelled. Still I think I can get to Crewe from which more things are possible. At least the weather continues to be nice today.

Hurrying home with the ICE at 314 km/h through France.
In Germany, the iCE is never allowed to be faster than 300km/h, and often less.
Unlike a car on the Autobahn, which has no speed limit.

#european story.
Traveling by train also makes for an excellent opportunity to show lots of relatable human interaction on the way, both on trains and in the places along the way.
Anyway. I'd watch it.
