How we made the Netherlands more secure and accessible using transparency WHY2025
It started with a simple idea in 2016: make the state of security of our government transparent/public. The simple idea has become national government policy. Using transparency we've helped fix tons of security issues, reduce costs and increased control on IT. This year we've rolled out in Belgium and started measuring accessibility of websites in the same fashion. Learn how we've achieved extreme impact with a minimal budget and keep on doing so. Security and accessibility must be commodities.

How noticing a vulnerability in a website has led to a foreign government threatening to revoke my permission to publicly discuss the existence of an abstract vulnerability class.

#WHY2025 ist fast noch schlimmer als andere Events: Selbst wenn man grade im eigenen Wohnmobil auf dem Weg zur Dusche ist, trifft man Leute (aka es klopft an der Wohnmobiltüre) und *flupps* ist wieder 'ne halbe Stunde oder so vorbei. 😉 So muss Camp!
Und jetzt sollte ich wirklich mal Richtung Dusche und dann wieder unter die Leute. 😇

As someone who was part of the badge team for last years @… cyberpunk badge, seeing the problems and drama around the #why2025 badge is quite sad.

Praktische toepassing AI, ik wilde een aantal sessies van #Why2025 horen, maar liefst in samenvatting, zoveel uren heb ik niet 🙂 , MP3s downloaden, uploaden in NotebookLM, overzichtsdocument laten maken, "klaar!" , overigens transcribeert NotebookLM keurig alle engelse spraak in dit geval, zodat je altijd dingen kunt checken.
