For #footpathfriday , here's a nice path I'd say.
This is taken from a bike&hike right after the bike-part and thus the start of a very nice autumn hike last year. When I took this photo, I didn't know - and not even expect how well the rest of the day would be 🙂
Enjoy

A tranquil forest trail winds its way through a lush, green woodland, inviting hikers to explore its natural beauty. The path, a mix of gravel and dirt, meanders gently uphill, bordered by tall pine trees that create a serene canopy overhead. The trunks of the trees are robust and textured, adding a sense of age and stability to the scene.

The forest floor is dotted with patches of vibrant green moss and small plants, adding a touch of life and color to the otherwise earthy tones of the trail.…

People who don't like AI probably also disapproved of Dr. Robotnik imprisoning woodland creatures inside robots and forcing them to attack Sonic and Tails. 🙄 Just say you hate progress.

Oak Woodlands has long been my favorite part of Golden Gate Park, but only recently have I come to appreciate Buena Vista Park for its own coast live oak forest... and even more recently noticed this enormous coffeeberry shrub at the bottom of the hill

A wide park path rises up a gentle incline with wooden steps to a bench, under and surrounded by coast live oak trees.
The underside of some coast live oak trees, showing how their branches grow in a spirally fashion.
A wide and tall coffeeberry shrub fills 3/4 of the frame, while beyond it across the street is a three-story Victorian apartment building with bay windows. The shrub has deep green leaves.

Series D, Episode 13 - Blake
ARLEN: I won it in a lottery. What do you care?
BLAKE: I don't, so long as it wasn't issued to you.
ARLEN: It's Federation.
BLAKE: That's what I mean.
ARLEN: Do I look like one of theirs?

Claude Sonnet 4.5 describes the image as: "This image captures a dramatic forest scene with an atmospheric, misty quality. The setting features tall trees creating a somewhat ethereal backdrop, with soft, diffused lighting filtering through the fog or haze. The forest floor is covered with natural debris and fallen needles, giving it an authentic woodland appearance.

The central figure stands among the trees wearing period costume consisting of a white billowing shirt with a brown leather or s…

A stretch of undeveloped California coastline on the border of Marin and Sonoma counties has officially opened to the public for the first time in a century.
Set on the coast just south of Bodega Bay and west of Valley Ford, the "Estero Americano Coast Preserve" is a 547-acre expanse at the mouth of the Estero Americano estuary.
The property is managed by the Wildlands Conservancy,
a nonprofit in the San Bernardino Mountains. The conservancy acquired the preserve …

Just a hut under a tree in the mist ...
I saw this when I was walking back from a location scouting. When I was back at the car, I turned around - already ready to drive away when I noticed this gnarly tree in the field.
The fog was just light enough to create an interesting mood I think.

A solitary tree stands resolute in a world softened by mist, its bare branches reaching upward like skeletal fingers against the muted sky. The landscape is wrapped in a quiet, ethereal haze, blurring the horizon into a seamless blend of earth and sky. Shades of gray dominate the scene—pale silver where the light struggles through the overcast clouds, deeper charcoal along the shadowed ground—creating a mood both melancholic and peaceful.

The open field stretches endlessly, its surface damp an…
A quiet winter woodland unfolds in soft shades of gray and muted silver, where bare branches stretch like delicate lace against a pale, overcast sky. The forest stands in hushed stillness, its skeletal trees stripped of leaves, their intricate patterns creating a natural tapestry of lines and shadows. A gentle mist lingers between the trunks, blurring the distance and lending the scene an ethereal, almost dreamlike quality.

The ground is a patchwork of frosty grass and fallen twigs, crunching …

My contribution to #footpathFriday !
This was a really nice walk. Just as I like it: small paths along a nice mountain.
But I also remember that it was the time I was suffering from something called "frozen shoulder". It was a bit of a challenge to take off /on the backpack. As a wrong movement cause some REAL pain.
But this is over as well and I just try to rec…
