To ma jakąś praktyczną zaletę? Czy to tylko moda estetyczna?

Na Sycylii cmentarze są dosyć wyjątkowe. Kraje basenu Morza Śródziemnego często chowają zmarłych w grobowcach, jednak tutejsze nekropolie mają szczególny rozmach. Gdy po zmroku podjechaliśmy na parking na nocleg, myśleliśmy, że ktoś zbudował bloki tuż przy cmentarzu. Dopiero po podejściu okazało się, że to wielopiętrowe grobowce.

Cmentarz jest otwarty od 8 do 18, więc z rana poszliśmy się przejść, żeby zobaczyć go od środka. Grobowce są przeróżne - od rodzinnych krypt po wielkie mury peł…
